Olympians may play hard, but they party even harder.

The author of the anonymously written “The Secret Olympiantold The New York Post that Olympians were given 70,000 condoms at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

“What happens in the Village stays in the Village,” the author, a former British athlete, said.

Todd Lodwick, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, said the high demand for condoms comes as a practical joke.

“It’s a tradition, taking so many that they have to replace them,” Lodwick said. “It’s a myth: ‘Oh, look at all the sex these Olympians are having!’”

Lodwick did concede that Olympians do have more sex than usual at the Olympics and said “how could you not?”

Living in the Olympic Village comes with perks, from 24-hour McDonald’s restaurants and sponsored beer halls to the sport-specific logo stamped condoms.

One anonymous female athlete said Olympians take advantage of these perks at an event dubbed “Days of Glory,” which the Post described as an attempt “to fill each remaining day at the Village with as much alcohol-drenched sex as possible.”

Perhaps the most incredulous tradition the Olympians revealed to the Post involves Olympians showing up drunk to the White House to shake hands with the president at the traditional post-games trip to the nation’s capital.

“I drank so much… and I’m going to meet the president, and I’m still drunk,” the female Olympian said describing her White House visit. “Vice President Biden… was so close, I could’ve licked his nose without moving.”
