Katy Perry and Russell Brand? That was then and this is now.

The pop star and comedian are officially no longer a part of each other, as California recognized their divorce Monday, E! Online reported.

The pair were married in October 2010, but in December 2011, Brand spit out Perry for so-called “irreconciliable differences”.

The couple agreed to a settlement in February but California law forced them to endure another six months marriage on paper before they could officially dissolve the marriage.

Besides singing at the 2012 Grammys that Brand can keep the diamond ring but not “a part of me,” Perry hasn’t seemed too concerned with the split.

Perry partied in March with French model Baptiste Giabiconi and was spotted kissing Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd in April, while Brand wooed Hungarian model Nikolett Barabas around the same time.

Despite the new girlfriend, Brand told Ellen Degeneres in May he still loved Perry “as a human being” and has only “love and positivity for her” — whatever that means.

Meanwhile, Perry is launching her own record label and her 3-D movie, “Part of Me”, made $11 million in its first week. More better news comes for Perry as “American Idol” is reportedly considering her as a judge, since high-profile panelists Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have left the show.
