Simon & Schuster’s reminder that one of the presidential candidates eats dogs

It’s not the one featured in this ad for the hilarious bestseller Dog on the Roof (ranked #96,827 at Amazon!):

Yes, that’s Lewis Black playing the dog that wasn’t eaten. Just imagine a long car trip with that voice in your ear. Why wouldn’t you put him on the roof?

This book must’ve seemed like a really good idea before some dopey blogger reminded the world that Obama eats dogs. I wonder how Dog in the Tummy would go? Hmmm…

Barack and his stepdad were hungry for lunch
But they couldn’t decide on which breed they should munch
“How ’bout a rottweiler?” asked Barry with joy
“The meat’s much too stringy. Let’s have dachshunds, my boy!”
So they cooked up the pooches, and oh was it fun
‘Cause there’s nothing quite like a hot dog on a bun

Then a few decades later, Barack wrote a book
And included the tale of the dog that got cooked
Which ruined his latest Mitt Romney attack
But when libs are in trouble, they call Lewis Black
Then Axelrod sobbed, working up to a snit
“Why isn’t this working? Our polls are for $#1+!”
