Now they’re going after Romney on the Olympics? Seriously?

From my #1 source of news, David Axelrod:

The link goes to a story at the Salt Lake Tribune: 2002 Olympic papers unlikely to shed light on Romney’s leadership. It sounds like a very important story, and I’m sure voters are going to care about it at least as much as Bain and Seamus the Dog and Haircutgate and all the other highly effective attacks that haven’t worked. And it’ll make people quit asking about Obama’s college transcripts, the Fast & Furious documents, the Rashid Khalidi tape, and all the rest of it.

As long as the Obama campaign is bringing up the Olympics, let’s take a look back to September 2009. Here’s what happened when Obama flew to Copenhagen, using all his charisma and persuasiveness to convince the International Olympic Committee to select Chicago for the 2016 Summer Games:

“Yeah, I think this is gonna work out perfectly!” And then, well, not so much. B-b-but… how… how could they… Obama is awesome!

It’s 15 weeks until the election, which gives Axelrod and his team plenty of time to come up with some sort of attack that doesn’t end up reminding everyone that Obama isn’t a very good president. Go get ’em, smart guys!
