After the magnificent opening ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, fans worldwide are eager to see how the 2012 London Olympics will kick off Friday evening.

The performance was choreographed by Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle and will be broadcasted on tape-delay at 7:30 p.m. EST on NBC, the New York Daily News reports.

Expect the strange, the unordinary and the weird in the London Olympic Stadium.

The theme of the three-hour ceremony will be “Isle of Wonder,” and will include 10,000 performers, 70 sheep, 12 horses, 10 chickens and nine geese.

The celebration will also include Daniel Craig as James Bond, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Harry Potter and Marry Poppins.  Paul McCartney will wrap up the ceremonies.

An estimated 60,000 people are expected to attend the celebration.
