At least it’s not another “Call Me Maybe” parody.

This time, two disillusioned Obama supporters lament the “Obama that I used to know” in this spoof of the summer’s other incessantly catchy song, Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.”

Rather than the passionate, energetic rhetorician that young voters got excited about in 2008, the duo mourns the loss of the president’s earlier speeches and promises in a parody music video of surprisingly high production value.

The song suggests that the afterglow of the 2008 election has faded, and now the post-collegiate set is living with their mothers because of the poor economy: “Because you won and then you cut me off/ And now your speeches never soar as high as unemployment/ Even the shirt that’s on my back is owned by China or arbitraged by Goldman Sachs… Now you’re just the Obama that I used to know.”
