Country crooner Taylor Swift may or may not have a weird obsession with the Kennedys.

Swift — who is 22 but acts like she’s 12 since her songs feature every single romantic comedy cliche that has ever existed — is reportedly dating Conor Kennedy, 18, the son of Robert Kennedy, Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy.

She was spotted holding hands with Conor near the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. over the Fourth of July, and recently the young couple were even seen in Nashville, where Swift’s parents live.

Over this past weekend, Swift reportedly purchased a $4.9 million home right across the street from Ethel Kennedy’s estate in Cape Cod. According to the Boston Globe, the home has been on the market for a couple of years and was originally listed at $13.5 million. (If any civilian bought a home across from her gentleman companion’s family, we’re pretty sure that relationship would be over in a hurry.)

In a January interview with Vogue, Swift said, “The only time in my life I have ever been starstruck was when I met Caroline and Ethel Kennedy.” And now she lives across the street from the latter, which is totally not creepy at all.

She also told the The New Yorker earlier this year that she had finished the 900-page book “The Kennedy Women,” and said “I’m just so obsessed with the whole history of J.F.K. and R.F.K.”

Swift’s palatial estate has seven bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms and a sprawling yard — perfect for frolicking in the rain and playing croquet or any of the other PG activities she is wont to do in her songs. (Mind you, Conor has not yet reached the legal drinking age, not that laws have stopped the Kennedys from doing what they want before.)

For her part, Swift has received heaps of praise from the Kennedy family and has reportedly been “a shoulder to cry on” since Conor’s mother’s death.

Earlier this month, Conor’s aunt Rory Kennedy told People, ”She’s awesome. She’s a great friend of ours.”
