In celebration of the Occupy Wall Street movement’s first birthday the Massachusetts Republican Party on Monday delivered a cake to Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren’s campaign event in Dorchester, Mass.

“As Professor Warren’s radical Occupy movement turns one, we thought we would help celebrate her proud moment by delivering a birthday cake on the campaign trail,” Nate Little, executive director of MassGOP, explained in a statement.

“It’s not every day that someone creates the intellectual foundation for an extremist protest movement calling for the end of capitalism, and Professor Warren’s accomplishment should not go unnoticed by Massachusetts voters.”

A Web video released by the Massachusetts Republican Party, titled “Happy Birthday,” replays mayhem that Occupy protests have caused and recalls that Warren proudly claimed credit for the protests.

“I created much of the intellectual foundation for what they do,” Warren said last October. “I support what they do.”

The minute-long video featuring a small child singing “Happy Birthday” labels Warren “The Matriarch” of the Occupy movement and cuts back and forth between footage of headlines about Warren claiming credit for Occupy and the chaos wrought by the movement.

“Elizabeth Warren. Too Radical,” the ad concludes.

The RealClearPolitics polling average has Warren leading incumbent Sen. Scott Brown 43.8 percent to 41.8 percent.
