Governor’s Gun Club in Powder Springs, Georgia will now be able to offer members a shot with their shotgun. The city council approved the establishment’s liquor license application on Tuesday, the West Cobb Patch reports.

The gun club is a $3.5 million investment for owners Kristina and Bert Brown, and is expected to open just before Christmas. While some residents are leery of the mix of booze and firearms, Mayor Pat Vaughn told Patch that the council has “shared your concerns, but I think they have some pretty good safety measures in place.”

Some of those safety measures include background checks and requiring members to sign contracts to adhere to the rules. Once a patron has entered the lounge area of the club, they will not be allowed to re-enter the shooting range. There also will be a well-monitored locker system for storing the guns.
