On Friday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told a D.C. audience on that she does not use email.

“Don’t laugh, but I just don’t use e-mail at all,” Napolitano told audience members when asked about her own cybersecurity practices.

She also said that she avoids many online services and does not have many of her own accounts, National Journal reported.

“Some would call me a luddite,” she said.

DHS and the Department of Defense have been at the forefront of the Obama administration’s cybersecurity legislation efforts. Napolitano recently reported to Congress that a cybersecurity executive order was “close to completion.”
