Google users searching for information about the two major presidential candidates during Wednesday night’s presidential debate appeared far more interested in learning about GOP nominee Mitt Romney than President Barack Obama.

Nearly 47 percent of Google users surveyed thought Romney did the better job in the debate, while only 23 percent identified Obama as the clear victor.

Google also tracked specifically what users wanted to know about each candidate.
Searchers most commonly linked the president with Obamacare, while Google users investigating Romney were primarily interested in his biography and age.

The anthropomorphic Big Bird, whose show “Sesame Street” appears on PBS, was also named by Google as one of the top four rising searches of the evening, largely because Romney mentioned cutting federal funding for the network during the debate.
