The Obama campaign continued its push for female votes, unveiling a new television ad Friday slamming Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney for his opposition to federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

“As you’re making your decision, maybe you’re wondering what to believe about Mitt Romney,” the narrator in the ad says.

Watch:

“Well, when it comes to protecting your access to birth control, and the basic women’s health care services Planned Parenthood provides, one thing we must remember, is this:” the ad cuts to a clip of Romney.

“I’ll cut off funding to Planned Parenthood,” Romney says.

“He’ll cut it off. Cut us off,” the narrator continues, concluding “Women need to know the real Mitt Romney.”

The ad comes as the Obama campaign attempts to re-gain a solid advantage with the critical female voting block.

Following last week’s presidential debate a Pew Research Poll found that Obama and Romney were tied among female voters (47 percent to 47 percent). The month before Obama had lead Romney among women by 18 percentage points.
