The conversation on Facebook surrounding the presidential debate on Tuesday evening inspired less discussion among U.S. users than the first presidential debate.

The buzz around the conversation was assessed by Facebook’s Talk Meter on a scale of 1-10.

“Last night’s debate earned a 7.63 (out of 10) and President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney‘s first encounter in Denver weighed in at 8.18,” said the Facebook Politics team.

The economy also rated the highest among the topics up for discussion at 6.2, with George Bush coming in second at 5.18.

The terrorist attack upon the U.S. embassy on Sept. 11 — which resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens — was the third most talked about subject surrounding the debate.
