Thanks to President Barack Obama’s jab at Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney about “horses and bayonets” Monday evening, the phrase earned the number one spot among U.S. Google users’ top rising search terms during the presidential debate.

The phrase ranked higher than Syria, Mali and drones.

Among top related search terms for each candidate, “apology tour” ranked highest for Obama. Users were also curious about Romney’s wardrobe – the second top related search term for Romney was “what is on flag pin,” referring to the lapel pin both candidates wore on their coats during the debates.

In the final moments of the debate, however, user search interest in Romney spiked well above the interest in Obama.
