Vice President Joe Biden referenced possible plans for 2016 at a campaign stop Wednesday in Florida.

Biden made the remarks at Station 400, a train-themed restaurant in Sarasota, according to the pool report.

The vice president was speaking on the phone to the Republican brother of a woman — described by the pool report as one of Biden’s “groupies,” a group of “older women” who crowded around Biden for photos.

The two had what sounded like a “serious” discussion about the health care law, and at some point Biden “got into a detailed explanation of the law’s mechanics.”

“Look, I’m not trying to talk you into voting for me, I just wanted to say hi to you,” Biden said. “And after it’s all over when your insurance rates go down, then you’ll vote for me in 2016. I’ll talk to you later.”

Pooler said Biden made the remarks in a “joking manner.”
