WASHINGTON – While visiting Capitol Hill, rapper and entrepreneur MC Hammer told The Daily Caller that he will vote for President Barack Obama over GOP nominee Mitt Romney in the upcoming election but declined to mention why, telling TheDC, “You don’t have enough room on your hard drive.”

In the video interview, the “U Can’t Touch This” singer described his recent meeting at the White House with Steven VanRoekel, the chief information officer in the Executive Office of the President.

“The meeting went really well. We were discussing a lot of issues around technology and how technology can be very effective in a lot of communities, in particular, we discussed some emerging platforms that you know, we have close associations with and that can be very useful so it was based around technology – information and technology,” Hammer told TheDC before attending a briefing at Sonoma restaurant on social media.

Hammer’s company, Alchemist Management, calls itself a “dynamic new name in the world of Mixed Martial Arts athlete management and marketing” that “creates unique opportunities in sports and entertainment for its clients who include some of the most popular names in MMA.”

The invitation to the briefing, sponsored by SV Angel, said the event would “provide updates on tech and new trends in the San Francisco Bay Area Silicon Valley” and “discuss how tech and municipalities are working together.” The invite also said the briefing would touch upon “the ongoing impact of social media as a political force.”

Former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty and Federal Communications Chairman Julius Genachowski were among those who attended the luncheon with MC Hammer.
