Biden announced some exciting plans for 2016 on the campaign trail in Cleveland Tuesday, joking (we think) that he would run for local office four years from now.

“I’m going to ask you one question, Mr. Biden,” said a woman at a campaign stop at the Landmark Restaurant in Cleveland. “After Obama wins this election are you going to run?”

“Oh, I’m going to go back home and run for county council or something,” Biden responded, according to the pool report, which did not specify his tone of voice. If he did, it would be a real life version of the movie Welcome to Mooseport, in which the former president retires to his weekend home and runs for mayor of Mooseport, Maine.

Last week in Sarasota, Biden suggested he had other plans for 2016, when talking to a voter’s Republican brother on the phone, he said: “Look, I’m not trying to talk you into voting for me, I just wanted to say hi to you. And after it’s all over when your insurance rates go down, then you’ll vote for me in 2016.”
