WASHINGTON – Campaign materials aren’t allowed inside polling locations in the District of Columbia, but a portrait of President Barack Obama is visible to residents who enter the Sherwood Recreation Center poll on Capitol Hill.
As people voted at the recreation center on Tuesday, The Daily Caller visited the polling location and took a picture of the portrait. It is mounted on the wall in the hallway outside where voters are casting ballots.
The presence of this photo of Obama comes after multiple reports of similar pre-existing Obama portraits visible at polling locations across the country.
In Pennsylvania Tuesday, an election judge ordered that a massive mural of Obama inside a Philadelphia polling location be covered after photos surfaced online.
In Florida, a poster showing Obama with the words “Change the Atmosphere” was visible to voters at the Jack L McLean Community Center in Tallahassee.
