Judd for Senate? Ashley Judd considered for Kentucky seat

Ashley Judd, daughter of famed country music artist Naomi Judd and the star of several hit films, has expressed a possible interest in running against Republican Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky in 2014, according to The Courier-Journal.

Born in California but raised in Kentucky, Judd says she cherishes the Bluegrass State with her “heart and soul.”

Judd, however, currently resides in neighboring Tennessee, which means she would have to move before challenging the Republican minority leader. (RELATED: Turtles that look like Mitch McConnell)

So far, Judd’s representation maintains that she is simply “honored by the consideration.”
