Yes, Susan Rice did claim the Benghazi attack was a spontaneous reaction to a stupid YouTube video

Apparently this is now a point of contention, even though Ambassador Rice said it multiple times on national television. Here she is on Sept. 16, telling Bob Schieffer things that did not actually happen:

“What our assessment is, as of the present, is in fact what… it began spontaneously in Benghazi as a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo, where, of course as you know, there was a violent protest outside of our embassy, sparked by this hateful video.”

We now know that none of this was true: The attack was premeditated, it was preplanned, it had nothing to do with any YouTube video, and there wasn’t even a protest in Benghazi in the first place. And we know that they knew none of it was true when they sent Rice out to say it.

Rice told the same fairy tale that same day on NBC, Fox News, and ABC. But apparently we’re not supposed to point that out, because Susan Rice is black. Every day, Obama’s America gets a little more post-racial.

So, when knuckleheads and silly geese try to tell you that you didn’t hear what you heard, just point them to one of those videos. And enjoy the silence.

P.S. Oh, and if your defense of Rice is that she didn’t know any better, then… why was she pushed out in front of the whole world to spout this nonsense?

P.P.S. Krauthammer: Rice questions leave Obama “backed into a corner.” The bigger the lie, the angrier Obama gets that you won’t believe it.
