Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from the reality TV show “Jersey Shore” claims when he sent out his phone number to the entire Twitterverse yesterday, it was actually a prank.

Twitter blew up yesterday after he tweeted a phone number to his 1.4 million followers.

But today he is tweeting: “Phone blew up haha good thing it wasn’t mine!! That will teach @petey_d to mess with the master of pranks!! #pranksgivng #UKtour #t#pran#gotcha.”

Ladies, you might not get to call the Situation and ask him about his “GTL” (gym, tan, laundry) routine after all.

Sorrentino was supposedly direct-messaging his number to a new lady friend, but then “accidentally” tweeted it to all his followers instead. And like any loyal follower, many of his Twitter followers retweeted it.

Who knew the Situation and Carly Rae Jepsen had so much in common?

Was it a “mistake”? You be the judge. These came immediately after.
