Either Penn State University head football coach Bill O’Brien got choked up during a postgame interview on Saturday night, or he called his players “fuckers” on national television.

After PSU defeated the University of Wisconsin in overtime Saturday in the last game of the college football regular season, O’Brien gave an interview to a sideline reporter, when one of two things happened: He a) affirmed that his Lions are “a bunch of fighters,” or b) got overly excited and very publicly labeled his team “a bunch of fuckers.”

The Nittany Lions had an emotional season, as the Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse scandal continued to rock the the university throughout the year. O’Brien is the first head coach to succeed the late Joe Paterno, who coached the team from 1966 to 2011.

PSU finished out the regular season 8-4, but the team is not eligible to compete in postseason bowl games because of punishments imposed by the NCAA after the Sandusky scandal.
