Note to Facebook users: If you upload a photo that slightly resembles a naked female body part, it will be removed almost immediately.
At first glance, this looks like a photo of a woman in a bubble bath with her left breast exposed. But upon closer inspection, it is clearly an elbow.
The Tumblr Theories of the deep understandings of things (which is a really pretentious and annoying name for a Tumblr, but whatever) decided to test out the social media site’s moderating system by posting the photo of a bathing woman and her explicit left elbow to Facebook to see what would happen.
Sure enough, Facebook moderators removed the seemingly indecent photo within 24 hours because it violated “Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.”
The website updated its Facebook followers late Sunday: “FB moderators can’t tell an elbow from a dangerous, filthy, uncanny and violent female breast…no questions were asked and the post is down…Imagine our surprise.”
So, you know, don’t expose your elbow unless you want to violate Facebook’s terms of use.
