It’s the moment we have all been waiting for since “Boy Meets World” ended in 2000: Cory and Topanga will officially come back to primetime. Yes, America’s favorite nineties sweethearts Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have signed on to star in “Girl Meets World,” Disney Channel’s new spin-off series from the popular nineties sitcom.

And don’t worry folks, Cory and Topanga will still play a happy married couple, but this time they will play the parents to their daughter, 13-year-old Riley. The show will focus on the daughter, but the character Riley has yet to be cast.

Fishel told her fans on her Tumblr account,”First of all, let me say that you, the fans of ‘Boy Meets World,’ have been awesome. That word is often used incorrectly by people, including myself, on a daily basis but you have truly been awe inspiring. You, yes, even YOU, are the reason that ‘Girl Meets World’ WILL BE MADE.”

But will any of our other “Boy Meets World” favorites also make a comeback? Mr. Feeny? (Yes, Mr. Feeny is still alive, we checked.) Shawn Hunter?

All Fishel would say is, “I do not know how many ‘BMW’ cast members will be returning for ‘GMW,’ or how often they may appear if and/or when they do appear.”
