Sure, the Golden Globe Awards are meant to acknowledge excellence in movies and television. But let’s get real here: We’re here to acknowledge hotness. (RELATED: “Lincoln,” “Argo,” “Django Unchained top nominees)

Yes, “Argo” was a good movie. “30 Rock” is hilarious! Who doesn’t respect the suspenseful writing on “Homeland”? But who cares when you’ve got these 10 hot nominees strutting down the red carpet? Not us, that’s for damn sure.

Here are the top 10 sexiest Golden Globe nominees:

  • Kerry Washington wasn't specifically nominated for a Golden Globe, but she stars in the upcoming "Django Unchained," which was nominated for best drama.
  • Anne Hathaway is not a prostitute (that we know of) but she must be pretty good at playing one since she is up for best supporting actress for the role of prostitute Fantine in "Les Miserables."
  • Jessica Chastain is a front-runner for best actress in "Zero Dark Thirty," in which she plays a CIA agent hunting down Osama bin Laden. We'd let her hunt us down anytime.
  • The gorgeous Marion Cotillard is up for best actress for playing a double-amputee in "Rust and Bone."
  • Naomi Watts is up for best actress for "The Impossible," a film based on a true story of survival during the 2004 tsunami. (Unfortunately, we don't think there are any girl-on-girl scenes a la "Mulholland Drive," but it's supposed to be good anyway.)
  • There's nothing depressing about Rachel Weisz's face, but she did get a Golden Globe nom for a really depressing performance in "The Deep Blue Sea."
  • Not only is she co-hosting the ceremony, Amy Poehler is up for best actress as Leslie Knope on NBC's "Parks and Recreation." (Let's hope she busts out these Golden Globes again on the red carpet! Right?! Sorry. Had to do it at least once.)
  • Claire Danes is up for best actress for playing CIA agent/ insane person on Showtime's "Homeland."
  • Julianne Moore won an Emmy earlier this year for portraying Sarah Palin in the awful made-for-TV movie "Game Change," and for some reason she was nominated again for a Golden Globe. The only good thing to come out of this is Moore's appearance at the awards.
  • Tina Fey is co-hosting the awards along with BFF Amy Poehler -- and they are also up against each other for best actress in a comedy series.
