Secretary of State Clinton may testify before Congress in two weeks on the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, a key senator said Tuesday.
“I actually sense — especially in talking to her chief just in the last few days — that she’s anxious to want to come up and testify on Benghazi,” said Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, appearing on MSNBC.
Of course, she’s rarin’ to go. This will be her third opportunity to testify, after missing the first two due to circumstances beyond her control. Everybody knows about the second scheduling conflict and we’re not supposed to say anything about it, and I’ll probably get in trouble for noting that the first one was a wine-tasting.
So, January 22 it is, maybe. Mark your calendar. But just to be on the safe side, use a pencil.
