The year 2002 called, and it wants its pop stars back.

Both Justin Timberlake and Destiny’s Child announced that they will soon release new albums.

Timberlake hasn’t released any new music since 2006 and instead focused on his “acting” career. The Beyonce-helmed girl group has been silent since 2004 so that Beyonce could focus on being married to Jay-Z and being BFF with President Obama.

Timberlake announced on Twitter, “To whom it may concern…I think I’M READY! #JT2013” with a link to a video on his Tumblr account of him walking into a recording studio. He offered no other details, but there is also a countdown clock on his website set for Sunday, which nobody quite understands the significance of.

Beyonce made the announcement about Destiny’s Child’s latest album on her website, “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” she wrote.

“Love Songs” will be released Jan. 29 — just ahead of her halftime Super Bowl performance.
