Hunter insisted that his column was vetted by Forbes.com editors, however. “I did not post w/o [a] green light,” he emailed TheDC, adding later that “[m]y editor is a good guy who is dealing with some very nervous executives.”
John Tamny, a Forbes.com editor who handles the website’s opinion contributors and also edits the website RealClearMarkets.com, did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
After this article was published, Forbes Media senior vice presdent forcorporate communications Mia Carbonell emailed TheDC to say that Hunter’s essay “was deemed outside the contributor’s area of expertise; therefore, it was removed accordingly.”
