BREAKING: George Takei does not care much for William Shatner

You’ve had a tough week and you deserve a laugh. So I’m not sure why you came to my blog. But you did, so here’s something kinda funny. What’s more amusing than a couple of bitchy old narcissists still sniping at each other over a feud that started before a lot of us were born?

Page Six:

It’s been 45 years since George Takei and William Shatner co-starred on Star Trek, but Takei still remembers the experience vividly – and not with fondness.

Takei discussed his bad blood with Shatner on “Watch What Happens Live” last night saying, “Bill’s douchiness…He’s very self-possessed, self-involved, everything revolves around the captain.”

Takei revealed that Shatner “regularly” would stop filming to ask the director to focus the cameras on him instead of whoever was speaking. “[Shatner was] reacting, and that’s the important thing,” Takei sniffed.

In Takei’s defense, nobody ever asks him about anything but Star Trek, and almost nobody ever asks him about anything but how much he hates Shatner.

If you’re like me — and if so, I’m very sorry to hear that — the first thing you thought of when you read that quote was: “Yessss, Captain Jerrrk…”

(That’s actually not bad, considering it was done before Adobe After Effects or iMovie or any of that stuff…)
