NBC’s Jay Leno was just as surprised as we were when he found out that former presidents are spending taxpayer money to purchase premium television packages.

“Presidents spend a lot of our money, even after they leave office,” Leno explained on Thursday night’s “Tonight Show.” “You know, we pay for their office space and their mail. But did you know we as taxpayers even pay for their premium cable channels? Did you know this?”
