The first broadcast of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” in 2013 kicked off with a spoof on CNN’s Piers Morgan, played by Taran Killam, who referred to Morgan as “the British Mario Lopez.”

The featured guests in the show’s open were Jason Sudeikis’ Lance Armstrong, Bobby Moynihan‘s Manti Te’o and Kate McKinnon’s Jodie Foster.

Armstrong made headlines this week for finally admitting to talk show host Oprah Winfrey that he had used performance-enhancing drugs; Te’o,  the Notre Dame football star, was found by sports website Deadspin to have misled millions of fans about an imaginary girlfriend; and Foster delivered a faux-dramatic “coming out” speech at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards.
