Rick Ross escapes drive-by shooting before crashing Rolls Royce into building

Rapper Rick Ross was seemingly the target of a drive-by shooting early Monday morning in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., but escaped unscathed in his Rolls Royce before crashing it into a building.

No, this isn’t the subject of a song on his latest rap album — but it very well could be.

The rapper — real name William L. Roberts — was driving his 2011 Rolls Royce when a gunman (or gunmen) opened fire on his vehicle, NBC Miami reports.

Roberts and his lady friend in the passenger seat heard the shots and tried to drive away before he lost control and crashed it into the side of a building. They were not injured.

Witnesses say they heard as many as 20 shots fired, but none of them appeared to hit the silver Rolls Royce.

The suspect/suspects are still at-large.
