New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg denied he made a sexist remark that was published in a New York Magazine story Monday and was swiftly reported on by other media outlets, including The Daily Caller.
According to the profile on council speaker and potential mayoral candidate Christine Quinn, Bloomberg pointed to a woman in a floor-length gown at a Christmas party and said, “look at the ass on her.”
Politicker asked Bloomberg about his alleged comment during a press conference Thursday and he replied, “I never said it and I don’t know where it came from, next question.”
When pressed on whether the statements reported by New York Magazine fit a pattern of “sexist remarks,” the mayor said, “OK, you can write anything you want. Don’t be ridiculous, that’s an outrage for you to say that.”
Earlier this week, Bloomberg commented on another part of the human anatomy, Vice President Joe Biden’s testicles.
