Sen. John McCain is opposed to using a Senate filibuster to block President Obama’s nomination of Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense.
According to CNN, McCain said he doesn’t think a filibuster would be “appropriate” and he would work against one if needed:
Sen. McCain tells @streitfeldcnn that he will not fillibuster Hagel. “I don’t think it’s appropriate and I would oppose such a move.”
