ABC News reported Monday that despite reported hints to the contrary, Mitt Romney’s eldest son Taggart will not be running for Senate in Massachusetts:

The revelation followed a report by the Boston Herald Monday morning claiming Tagg Romney was considering the run, though the paper did not cite a source for the claim.
Tagg Romney campaigned regularly for his father during the former Massachusetts governor’s failed presidential bid and made some news when he told a radio station he wanted to “take a swing” at President Obama during a presidential debate.
