A French filmmaker is already planning a TV movie based around the Dec. 14 Newtown, Conn. school shooting, according to The Associated Press.

Jonathan Bucari, whose only completed credit on the Internet Movie Database is a 2011 film called “The Sacrificial Lamb,” is headed to Ridgefield, Conn. — just 20 miles away from Newtown — to scout locations and funding for his film.

Bucari said that he chose Ridgefield because it looks similar to Newtown. He says he did not want to go to the site of the shootings so as not to upset the community so soon after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that resulted in the deaths 20 children and six adults, the AP reports.

The film will focus on a mentally ill 13-year-old boy who is fearful of his parents after the shootings.

Superintendent of Ridgefield Public Schools Deborah Low said that the timing of the project is “poor,” in the understatement of the century.
