Iran tricks the public, again.
The Iranian state media used Photoshop to intimidate the public by superimposing a picture of their fighter jet onto a stock image of Mount Damavand, giving the jet the appearance of flight. It was posted on Iran’s Khouz News site, and reported by Gizmodo.
The image of the mountain peak can be found at PickyWallpapers.com, in a slightly darker form. Bloggers claim they Photoshopped the Qaher 313 onto the stock image to prove that the jet could fly, Al Arabiya News reported.
The jet was first revealed to an audience of at least one million people on Monday. Experts told Al Arabiya News that the plane shown at the unveiling was more likely a model replica rather than a working prototype.
Iran is no amateur to faking things.
Earlier this month Iran claimed to have sent a monkey to space. However, they were accused of lying when the “before” and “after” photos of the monkey were clearly two different monkeys.
In 2008 they Photoshopped an extra missile into a photo of a missile-test launch.
