Syracuse men’s basketball coach calls ESPN reporter an idiot to his face [VIDEO]

Syracuse men’s head basketball coach Jim Boeheim kept it real Wednesday, calling ESPN reporter Andy Katz an “idiot” and “disloyal” in a post-game press conference.

Bitter Big East rival Connecticut beat Boeheim’s No. 6-ranked Orange by the score of 66-58 prior to his outburst. But it’s unlikely the heat of the momentum triggered the notoriously hot-headed coach to lash out at Katz.

ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz told USA Today Sports Katz, “doesn’t know exactly what led to that reaction from Coach Boeheim, who hasn’t spoken to Andy since December 2011.”

In November of 2011, Katz reported on Boeheim’s relationship with assistant coach Bernie Fine, who has been accused of child molestation.
