Special-education teacher Peter Mulloy probably just wanted to catch a buzz while he was watching a wrestling meet on Saturday, man. When he lit up under the bleachers at Antioch High School, however, he got busted by an off-duty cop.

Mulloy, 50, who teaches at Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois, was charged with possession of marijuana as well as drug equipment, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The off-duty police officer, who was by chance sitting in the bleachers at the same wrestling event, said he detected the robust stench of the doobage.

The officer apparently called local police after confronted Mulloy, who had a “one-hit” pipe, according to the New York Daily News.

Mulloy had come to watch the wrestling meet — the sectionals of the Illinois High School Association wrestling tournament — with his family.

Mulloy is due in court on March 20 for his arraignment, the Tribune notes. His bond was $120.

A school district representative said Mulloy has taught at Warren Township High School since 2007.

The representative would not say whether Mulloy has been suspended as a result of the incident, according to the Daily Herald. However, he was reportedly absent from the high school on Thursday.

“We are managing the situation according to our board policy,” the district representative told the Daily Herald.
