  • Students at the University of Chicago Law School say Ivy League schools have nothing on their Midwestern legal powerhouse. The school wins first prize in the education quality category. Photo: Creative Commons/Karla Kaulfuss
  • Winston-Salem, North Carolina is home to the tallest office building in the region and -- and! – the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts corporate headquarters. Still, it's not the most exciting place. On the plus side, it's dirt cheap relative to the locales of other top law schools. Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem sits atop the heap in affordability of living. • If fun off campus is vital to you, consider the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. The fun, funky and usually very happening capital of the Lone Star State is tops in the surrounding area category. Photo: Facebook/University of Texas at Austin Law
  • Students at virtually every American law school will swear to you that there's no cutthroat competition at their schools. However, students at Vanderbilt University Law School are most adamant. The Nashville school ranks highest in having a healthy level of academic competitiveness. Photo: Facebook/Vanderbilt Law
  • Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School ranks #1 in campus safety. The Church of Latter-Day Saints-affiliated school in Provo, Utah has an honor code which, among other things, requires chastity outside of marriage. That may or may not factor into campus safety, but it is interesting. Photo: Creative Commons/Bobjgalindo
