Pop singer Justin Bieber is upset with the media for “exaggerating” the fact that his concert began nearly two hours late on Monday night.

“My relationship with the media is not always easy, but I’m trying. … I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down, and I’m not okay with things being exaggerated,” Bieber tweeted on Tuesday.

The concert, which was at the O2 Arena in London, was set to begin at 8:30 p.m., with three opening acts. Bieber was suppose to take the stage at 9:35, but “technical issues” kept him from performing until 10:10, the BBC reported.

“So I was 40 minutes late to stage,” he clarified on Twitter.

Fans and parents alike were frustrated by the delay in Bieber’s performance, as many had to leave the concert early to catch the train home and missed the concert.

“Kids were crying because some of them did not have the opportunity to see Justin Bieber,” said parent Andy Ward who waited outside of the arena until after midnight to pick up his daughter.

Some fans resorted to booing around 9:30 p.m. when the young singer still failed to show up.

Members of the audience claim Bieber did not arrive on stage until after 10:30, and he did not apologize for being late until Tuesday on Twitter.

Parents may be upset, but previously sobbing fans claim all is forgiven: being able to catch a glimpse of Bieber was worth it.

“He made up [for it] with all his songs. I want to see him again because it was so cool,” said young fans Sophie and Rebecca.
