In last night’s Bucks-Wizards game, Milwaukee’s Larry Sanders provided the main attraction by firing off the most sarcastic — and most expensive — thumbs-up of all time.

After being called for an offensive foul, Sanders briefly pleaded his case to the officials, gave up, gave emphatically sarcastic thumbs-up to all three referees … and was immediately ejected from the game.

Sanders is currently tied for 13th in the NBA with nine technical fouls and seems to be putting them to good use, leading the league with three ejections, matched only by Sacramento Kings bad-boy DeMarcus Cousins.

With the NBA’s technical foul fine ladder, the two Sanders picked up last night will cost $3,000 and $4,000, respectively. Per NBA rules, technical fouls No. 1-4 cost $2,000 each, fouls 5-8 cost $3k each, and fouls 9-12 cost $4,000 each.

Since these fouls were numbers eight and nine, Sanders will pay a total of $7,000 for giving three thumbs-up. Sanders will not receive a suspension until picking up a 13th tech.
