Kate Upton, American hero, might go to prom with random high schooler just because he asked nicely.
A 5’9″ (“on a really good day”) kid from Los Angeles invited swimsuit model Kate Upton to his high school prom on May 23 via a viral YouTube video.
Using a series of cliches, Jake Davidson says Upton had him at “hello,” that she is the yin to his yang, and that it is “destiny” that the two go to prom together. While showing off his penchant for hygiene by taping himself in the shower, he asks if he should call her “Kate” or “Katie.”
Davidson tries to win Upton over “Kate, great moments are born from great opportunity,” Davidson says. “And that, is what you have here today. A chance to make a nice guy’s senior year the best ever.”
After seeing the video, Upton tweeted, “you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I’ll check my schedule ;).”
Davidson appeared on “The Today Show” Wednesday and Upton surprised him by calling in to say that she “loved” his “creative” video and that she would check her schedule, saying that she would “love” to go to the prom with him.
DUDE. You are so in. Not only did she tell you to call her by the name her friends call her, Upton also gave you a winky face emoticon AND totally giggled like a school girl during the “Today” video.
Even if Upton doesn’t end up going to his prom, that winky face and phone call should fulfill Davidson’s fantasies at least until he gets to college.
