The fantasy genre isn’t for everyone. However, the creators of the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones” have found something for everyone by including fantasy with excessive violence and gratuitous sex.

Every other scene is either some steamy, erotic scene — usually involving prostitutes — or a bloody and violent battle scene. Some might call that win-win.

So as you debate how to spend your Sunday nights this spring, consider indulging you inner-fantasy nerd with the best the TV has to offer.

The third season of “Game of Thrones” premieres Sunday, March 31 on HBO.

  • Daenerys Targaryen always prefers little to no clothing -- especially when it involves coming back to life, walking over hot coals, and giving birth to her dragons.
  • Career prostitute Ros might be from the North, but she knows how to keep things hot.
  • "Game of Thrones" is partial to scenes like this.
  • And then there are a few scenes like this, too.
  • Cersei Lannister may very well be the most evil lady in the realm, but she's not bad to look at.
  • There was that one weird scene when Melisandre gives birth to some sort of evil spirit thing, but other than that she's pretty fiery, with her red hair and all.
  • With her J.Lo-esque plunging neck lines, Margaery Tyrell keeps the show interesting.
  • There is allegedly an awesome scene this coming season with Ygritte and Jon Snow this season -- so there's always that to look forward to.
  • Though she might be a prostitute, sweet little Shae seems to find true love amid lots of fighting and family squabble.
  • The forbidden marriage between Talisa Maegyr and Rob Stark makes for some pretty awesome television.
