President Barack Obama said in a speech in the White House Rose Garden Wednesday that his administration will pay for preschool for American families by raising taxes on tobacco products that “harm our young people.”
“We’re going to do it by raising taxes on tobacco products that harm our young people. It’s the right thing to do,” Obama said to applause.
