A new, heartbreaking photo of the 8-year-old boy who was killed in the Boston Marathon bombing Monday has surfaced on the Web.
A family friend posted the photo of Martin Richard standing in a classroom, smiling a toothless grin and holding up a handmade sign reading, “No more hurting people. Peace.”
The photo shot across the Web Tuesday morning as Americans continue to mourn the loss of the young boy and two other people.
Following the attack, 176 victims were hospitalized and 17 were in critical condition, according to authorities.
