The son of 80s rock legend Jon Bon Jovi has announced his intention to walk on to Notre Dame’s football team this fall. Jesse Bongiovi wants to play cornerback for the fighting Irish, reports the Bleacher Report.

However, clocking in at only a buck eighty and 5′ 11″, he’s more likely to be tapped for defensive back. Bongiovi said, “I expect [walking on] to be one of the hardest things I’ll probably ever do, but I like a challenge. I like being able to overcome things and step up to occasions. Hopefully, I’ll get to persevere through something that’s pretty hard.”

He isn’t a trailblazer in this field either. The son of rapper P. Diddy, Justin Combs, plays cornerback for UCLA. Snoop Dogg’s, now Snoop Lion’s, son Cordell Broadus, is a sought-after wide receiver who is being heavily courted by USC and other PAC-12 schools, despite being only a junior in high school.
