Have you ever wanted to see a Hollywood biopic about the budding romance between young Bill & Hillary?

Well, too bad.

The Wrap:

Fresh off spectacular reviews for his Sundance film “The Spectacular Now,” James Ponsoldt is attached to direct “Rodham,” an indie movie about Hillary Clinton’s early years, TheWrap has learned.

Written by up-and-coming screenwriter Young Il Kim, “Rodham” placed fourth on the 2012 Black List. Set during the height of the Watergate scandal, the story follows rising star Hillary Rodham, the youngest lawyer chosen for the House Judiciary Committee to Impeach Nixon, who finds herself forced to choose between a destined path to the White House and her unresolved feelings for former boyfriend Bill Clinton, who is teaching law in Arkansas…

Ponsoldt has had good luck unearthing gems from the Black List, which catalogs Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplays.

Sounds like a winner. This is sure to be a box-office smash.

Incidentally, Hillary was also fired from that committee for unethical behavior, but I doubt that’ll make the shooting draft. Couldn’t fit the narrative less, could it?

She’ll probably be played by Jennifer Lawrence, right? As for Bill, I’m thinking… Seth Rogen? Jonah Hill? It has to be somebody who can deeply inhale and then lie about it unconvincingly.

That’s the way, Hollywood. Line up and help usher Hillary into the Oval Office in 2016. Like good little drones.
