The San Antonio Spurs are thieves.

The Spurs found themselves down by 16 points to the Golden State Warriors with only four minutes to go last night before coming back to force overtime…and then a second one.

Then they found themselves down by a point with 3.4 seconds left in double overtime.

It all ended in a clutch-as-can-be three pointer from guard Manu Ginobili, sending the Spurs home as 129-127 winners in a game they should have lost several times.

Except, they’re the Spurs. They tend to do this. They’re a veteran team with a world class coach and savvy veterans that seem to get wide open shots exactly when they need them.

And they tend not to miss those shots.

It wasn’t a bad play by the Warriors even though they gave up a wide open shot. They had a man playing free safety, making sure the Spurs didn’t get an easy layup. They double-teamed the Spurs’ most dangerous player.

And in the end San Antonio won.

Nobody should be shocked, even if it was dramatic.
