Kai, the homeless, hatchet-wielding hitchhiker and erstwhile Daily Caller Patriot who saved a woman’s life earlier this year, is suspended from his official patriot duties until further notice.

Caleb Lawrence McGillvary (his real name) is a wanted for murder in Union County, N.J., ABC News reports.

McGillvary, 34, became a viral Internet star back in February when he saved a woman’s life from a crazed man who he had hitched a ride with. After running into a pedestrian with his vehicle, the man grabbed a woman on the scene as if he was going to hurt her, when McGillvary intervened by taking a hatchet to the back of the man’s head.

McGillvary’s retelling of the story went viral. “Like, a guy that big can snap a woman’s neck like a pencil stick!” he told a reporter at the scene. “So I fucking ran up behind him with a hatchet — SMASH, SMASH, SUMASH!”

Now, the former hero is now suspected in the murder of Joseph Galfy, who was found May 13 with blunt-force trauma wounds to the back of his head in his Clark, N.J., home.

Investigators say McGillvary was last seen at a train station in Haddonfield, N.J., and have determined that he cut off his signature dreadlocks in order to disguise himself.

This is the first time that a Daily Caller Patriot has been wanted for murder after performing such a heroic, commendable act.

Since we operate on the same “innocent until proven guilty” concept that the Justice Department does, McGillvary is suspended from using the prestigious title until proven guilty.

If that day comes, his title will be immediately revoked.
